Urea Formaldehyde Concentrate (Urea Formaldehyde Concentrate) is a complex equilibrium mixture that includes bound formaldehyde (in the form of monomethylolcarbamide, polymethylolcarbamide, methylene glycol, polyoxymethylene glycols and their polymers), free formaldehyde, water and a small amount of methanol and other impurities (water). It has the following quality indicators:

• mass fraction of total formaldehyde 60;
• mass fraction of total urea 25%;
• mass for methanol is not more than 0.3%;
• - buffer capacity - no more than 12 ml;
• Viscosity - no more than 80 s;
• Appearance - homogeneous viscous colorless liquid (color 10 - 30 APHA).

KFK (KFK forcondensate) is one of the most important sources of formaldehyde and urea in the production of urea-formaldehyde resins (UFR). In its composition, it is a complex equilibrium mixture, including: bound formaldehyde (in the form of monomethylolcarbamide, polymethylolcarbamides, methylene glycol, polyoxymethylene glycols and their polymers), free formaldehyde, water and a small amount of methanol and other impurities.

Increasing requirements for environmental protection at woodworking enterprises make promising technological processes for obtaining urea-formaldehyde concentrate (UFC) with a total content of urea and formaldehyde of 85 wt.%. The use of just such a product makes it possible to completely eliminate the formation of toxic wastewater during the synthesis of adhesive compositions.
